ENERGY STAR for Buildings is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy which provides recognition to buildings whose energy performance is in the top 25% of the country, based on the EPA’s National Energy Performance Rating System.

In order to determine the performance of a facility, Energy Star compares energy use among similar types of facilities on a scale of 1-100; buildings that achieve a score of 75 or higher may be eligible for the Energy Star label. Gaia will manage your building’s operational data through the Energy Star Portfolio Manager system and verify performance of the building to achieve the final Energy Star certification thus earning an Energy Star Plaque for your facility.
