GAIA Turns 20!
We are proud to celebrate GAIA this year!
In 2005, Ryan McEvoy founded Gaia Development (“GAIA”) to be a one-stop-shop for real estate developers looking to create high-performance buildings.
Prior, Ryan was the Development Project Manager and Sustainability Coordinator for Yorkshire Development, an early adopter of sustainable building practices. Under his management, Yorkshire Development’s Tricom Office Building in Pasadena became the first LEED speculative commercial building in the world. It was among the first 15 LEED-certified buildings in California and the top 225 LEED projects ever certified.
During this project, he dedicated his time to changing Pasadena’s building codes to require that all buildings, public or private be certified by LEED, which was adopted in late 2004.
Today, GAIA has consulted on over 100,000,000 square feet of completed projects across the U.S. and is a recognized, trusted thought-leader for commercial developers.
How will we be celebrating?
We are collecting historical data and creating GAIA’s first Impact Report which will feature projects and stories from the many buildings we’ve supported over the years. The report will be published online in Summer and available for print to our clients.
Throughout the year, GAIA will be hosting client-appreciation events with our strategic partners who we’ve grown with. More to come.
